Cherry Cream Cheese Tarts

I love Cherry Tarts. I love Cheesecake.
This is a great recipe mixing the two together.
I've been making these for the family at Christmas for about 5 years.

They are always a crowd pleaser!
Who says tarts are only for Christmas time?? I like them anytime!
I think this is my husbands favorite because he asks me to make them on occasion :)

They look like regular Cherry Tarts and once you bite into them you get a nice cream cheese surprise!

It's quick, easy and only uses 5 ingredients.

Here is my recipe for Cherry Cream Cheese Tarts:

Ingredients:

- 12 Unbaked Tart Shells
- 1 (3 oz) package Cream Cheese softened
- 1/4 cup Icing Sugar
- 1 cup Cherry Pie Filling
- 1/4 teaspoon Almond Extract or Vanilla Extract

In a bowl, beat Cream Cheese and Icing Sugar until smooth.

Place about 1/2 teaspoon into each tart cup

Combine Cherry Filling and Almond / Vanilla Extract

Place about 2 teaspoons into cup, covering the cream cheese and icing sugar mixture

Bake at 375C (190 F) for 12 - 14 Minutes

The edges will be golden brown

Let tarts cool and enjoy!!
