Canada Day Nails

I decided to take a break this week from blogging but I just had to share this pictorial for my fellow Canadians! With Canada's Birthday just around the corner I wanted to show some Canadian pride with this cute nail art.

I thought this nail design was super cute!

Besides the heart design everything is no tools and very simple.

Here is what you need:

- Base coat
- White Polish
- Red polish
- a Bobby pin or some sort of dotting tool
- Top coat

Step 1:

Apply base coat. Apply Red polish to thumb and pinkie finger. Apply white to the rest of the nails.

Step 2:

Apply red polish to half of the pointer finger nail ( outer edge). Paint Red on half of Ring finger (outer edge).

Step 3:

Now it's time to make the heart. I recommend practicing first just to get the hang of it (at least I had to practice a few times...).

(I thought a heart was going to be easier than attempting a maple leaf)

Using the bobby pin or dotting tool, make 3 dots in a triangle. Try to keep even space between them.
Then connect the dots in the shape of a heart. Fill in the heart.

Step 4:

Apply Top coat. For the heart design, wait a couple of minutes before applying top coat to prevent smudging.

That's it!

Happy Canada Day!!
