Choosing the right face mask

Exfoliating, deep-cleansing, refreshing… It’s hard to know what is right for your skincare needs.
The skin is the body’s largest organ and a lot of the time we don’t care for it as much as we should.
Each facial mask is unique in the benefits it provides the skin.

Deep-cleansing Masks
By using purifying and clarifying bases of mud, clays or powders, face masks are ideal for deep cleansing.

NUGGNÜGG DEEP CLEANSING FACE MASK uses key ingredients like Jojoba Lite Oil to dissolve oils in a gentle, healthy way. Witch Hazel extract and Cucumber extract act as astringents to reduce the appearance of pore size. Each mask comes in a unique single serve capsule (made from recyclable materials) which is excellent for travel.

These ingredients are great for liberating congested skin, banishing blemishes and leave your skin feeling renewed and bright.

You want to make sure the skin stays soft and supple even as it’s being thoroughly cleansed, so you’ll find ingredients like honey and cocoa butter in deep cleansing masks to ensure a balanced effect.

Get ready for smooth, even skin!

Refreshing Masks
If it’s a radiant, replenished complexion you’re after, look for rejuvenating ingredients like seaweeds and fresh fruit and vegetables.

These nutrient-rich ingredients contain antioxidants which combat dehydration and overall wear-and-tear on the skin.

EARTH& SEA MUDDY FACE  contains seaweed and aloe Vera gel to hydrate and restore.  Papaya and Pineapple is used in ALBABOTANICA PAPAYA ENZYME FACIAL MASK to loosen and dissolve dull surface cells and impurities.

DERMATOPIX CLAY MINT MASK uses mint to refresh the skin for a clear revitalized look.

Yesto Tomatoes Clearing Facial Mask – yes tomatoes! Tomatoes are great for treating open pores, dry damaged skin and give the skin a beautiful glow.

An easy way to treat open pores using tomatoes:
  • Add four drops of tomato juice to 1 tablespoon of water and apply it on your face with a cotton ball.
  • Gently massage your skin with this mixture and leave it on for 15 minutes. Regular application of this will shrink the pore size.

Soothing
Does your skin want some calm and comfort?

SeaWhip Cucumber Detox Soothing Gel Treatment  uses natural extracts of cucumber, chamomile, sugar cane, oatmeal, rose flower and marigold to help calm and replenish the skin.

It can be used daily or after a sun burn or a wax, to help rehydrate, nourish, and soothe the skin. For a more intense treatment, it can be left on for several hours or as an overnight mask to absorb the benefits of the ingredients all night long when skin is rested.
What is better than a multi-tasking product?

CoastTo Coast White Clay Mask is a great soothing mask, enriched with Aloe, Sea Kelp and White Clay to help detoxify the skin and impart a fresh and radiant glow.
These masks are comforting and gently cleanse, for a light, caring touch and a smooth texture. The perfect antidote to stress!

Exfoliating
If your skin is craving a scrub, look for exfoliating ingredients like coffee, adzuki beans, almond shells, rice or walnut shells.

My personal favorite,  Mask of Magnaminty  has fresh peppermint to reach deep down and pull dirt from your pores, giving you that tingly-clean sensation. It also uses aduki beans to exfoliate flaky or dry skin, vanilla to calm redness and honey to soothe.

EARTHKISS FACE MASQUE is an inexpensive price but works wonders! It will flush out your pores and condition your skin with ingredients like Aloe Vera, Clove, Rosemary and Tea Tree Oil.

Each exfoliating mask contains ingredients to cleanse, soften and scrub.

Exfoliators can range from brisk and polishing, to gentle and renewing. Be sure to find the scrub that best suits you.

Besides all of the skin benefits, the best benefit to applying a face mask is that you get time to relax while your face mask is working.

This will help you to de-stress and that alone can make you look and feel better!
