e.l.f. Studio Matte Lip Color Review

If you follow me on Instagram you will know I have been obsessed with matte lipsticks lately.

Today I am reviewing a product from elf cosmetics - ELF STUDIOMATTE LIP COLOR

I could have bought the lipstick individually but I saw this set with 4 matte lipsticks at a great price – can’t go wrong there!

This set comes with 4 shades - DASH OF PINK, CRANBERRY, BERRY SORBET, RICH RED

These lipsticks are more like crayons and come in a retractable black matte tube. There is color band at the bottom of tube so it’s easy to identify your shades, the color band comes off and can be used as a sharpener.

On application I found them smooth very easy to glide on the lips. They are moisturizing did not dry out and give a semi matte finish.

They are very easy to apply and can be used as lip pencils as they give precise application.

It definitely gives good coverage in just one swipe. Pigmentation is fair enough, you can build more color intensity with a couple more swipes if needed.

I used them without having to apply any lip balm and my lips didn’t feel dry at all.

I loved that this lip crayons is retractable and you don’t have to sharpen them.

It also contains vitamin C & E which will keep your lips hydrated for whole day.

DASH OF PINK

- It’s a soft girly pink shade (my favorite!)
- A must have if you love neutral pinks

I have been using this shade constantly.

CRANBERRY

- It’s a red color with warm tones.
- This shade will go on almost every skin tone.
- The color is not too intense so anyone can wear it.

 BERRY SORBET

- Its dark Berry pink color.
- It has a gorgeous vibrant color.
I loved this shade when I wanted to change up my look.

RICH RED

- Not a bright red - perfect to use in day as well as night time
- Great on every skin tone
- It’s a cool toned deep Red

They aren’t completely matte it as you can see in the pictures, it does nave a little bit of shine – more of a demi-matte.

The lipsticks are small enough to carry in your purse and reapply throughout the day if needed.

They did transfer a little bit on my coffee cup but I didn’t really notice a difference with the color it seemed to stay the same.

The formula is amazing and there are many beautiful shades to choose from.

It stays on well for 3-4 hours but then starts fading at corners of lip. Darker shades are more intense and pigmented which stays up closer to 5 hours.

This lipstick didn’t bleed or smudge.

They come off very easily without staining lips especially darker shades.

Overall completely loved it and recommended trying them out.

The ELF STUDIO MATTE LIP COLOR kit has an affordable price of $10.

ELF Studio Matte lipstick individually retail for $3.

Have you tried ELF’s lip colors before? What did you think of it?
