Ways to Maintain a Healthy Glow



We spend money on creams, cleansers, masks and facials in order to have a healthy glow.
I’m going to share some tips to maintain a healthy glow so you don’t need to break the bank.

1. Get rest

There absolutely is such a thing as beauty sleep.
Getting 7-8 hours of sleep nightly will make a huge difference in how youthful a woman appears because when we sleep, that is when our bodies rejuvenate and our skin produces new skin cells keeping dead cells from building up on the skins surface.
If you don’t get enough sleep, you can speed up aging if you are constantly sleep deprived - so get that beauty sleep!


2. Use an overnight treatment

If you suffer from breakouts or skin dryness leading to wrinkles or blotches, treat your skin concerns at night to boost collagen and heal skin while sleeping.
Work closely with your dermatologist or aesthetician who can recommend non-irritating skin treatments specifically addressing your concern.
Whether it is a sleeping mask, night cream or under eye treatments, you don’t need to do anything but apply to the skin and sleep!


3. Hydrate

When it comes to anti-aging and putting your most youthful face forward, water is the key.
Water flushes your system of toxins which helps skin to glow.
Women spend money on face creams to boost moisture and hydrate the skin but integrating more water, around 4 - 6 glasses per day, will help with fewer wrinkles and an overall smoother skin texture within a month.



4. Get facials

A facial a month does wonders for skin’s clarity, texture, and ability to produce collagen.
If you don’t want to go the spa monthly, there are many at-home face products available that will also benefit the skin.
Knowing your skin type and ingredients that address your specific skin concern is important.
You can also treat different parts of the face differently depending on the skin issue.



5. Tone down make-up

One way to immediately take 10 years off your look is to revamp your make-up.
Heavy eye liner and strong lip colors may only accentuate wrinkles and fine lines.
As women age, less is more when it comes to make-up.
Choose a great hydrating foundation, a pinch of blush, a swipe of mascara and a tinted hydrating lip balm.
