NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream Review

Last year I did a blog post on NYX Butter Gloss Review and I have since repurchased and used the Apple Strudel gloss regularly.

Today I'm sharing a couple more NYX soft matte lip creams – Prague and Madrid!

Prague is a deep raspberry color and Madrid is more of a deep red.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream is a mixture between a lipstick and lip gloss—it a matte lip cream.

They are amazing lip products, goes on silky smooth and sets to a matte finish.

They are sweetly scented and smell yummy like cake.

They last about 3 to 4 hours on my lips.

Soft Matte Lip Cream is surprisingly durable and is also moisturizing.

The NYX soft matte lip cream is available in 36 different shades and NYX is constantly adding new shades to the collection.
It has heavy pigmentation but is a light formula-a perfect combination that is enriched with skin-smoothing ingredients that keep lips looking and feeling soft.

The great thing about this collection is that you can apply directly on to the lips, or you can over lipstick.

 My Thoughts:

Pros:

- Great pigmentation
- Soft, creamy and lightweight texture
- Smooth, even application
- Excellent staying power 4 to 5 hours if you don’t eat
- Pure matte finish – not shimmery
- Does not make the lips too dry
- Not sticky or tacky

Cons:

- Sometimes settles into fine lines
- Can become patchy throughout the day
- Comes off with food
- Madrid tended to bleed a little (as you can tell from the pics)

I would purchase these lip creams again!

You can purchase NYX soft matte lip creams:

-  On their website (http://www.nyxcosmetics.ca) for $9.00

- At Walgreens (HERE) for $6.00
