I am a junk food-aholic, I love chips, popcorn
and anything chocolate.
But it has done a lot to the waistline – too much…
I've seen recipes on kale chips before and
debated whether or not I would like them.
Healthy food is usually bland to me.
I saw a recipe – kale, salt and olive oil.
Seemed pretty simple I just needed to buy the kale.
The first time I baked them they were alright –
a little burnt but still tasty. I used table salt and thought Sea salt would go
great with them.
When I baked them the next time I added the
sea salt, some pepper and a sprinkle of cheese.
They were even more addicting! The recipe yields
6 people but for me it is only one serving, haha!
Here is my recipe for Baked Kale Chips:
-
One stock Kale
-
Sea Salt - to taste ( table salt is fine too)
-
Pepper - to taste
-
Drizzle of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
-
( Optional)
Sprinkle of shredded cheese ( Parmesan, I
used double cheddar for this recipe, it was what I had on-hand)
Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees
C). Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Drizzle the kale with olive oil and sprinkle
with Sea salt and pepper.
Using hands gently mix up all of the kale and olive oil so all seasonings
are evenly distributed.
Once out of the oven, sprinkle kale with
cheese.
Let cool and Enjoy!
