How to create a smoky eye

Smokey eyes have been a big style for quite awhile and there's no sign this particular trend is going away anytime soon. Here I will show you step-by-step instructions on how to get the perfect Smokey eye.

The key to the perfect Smokey eye is proper blending. You want to make sure colors are blended together flawlessly. Also, it's important to pair light base colors with rich dark colors. Nice mixes include: Soft gold base with deep purple on top, champagne base with bright blue and peach base with green hue.

Smokey Eyes can be subtle or dramatic. For an everyday look, Subtle is the key.

This is a sexy, smoldering look and gives your eyes heaps of definition and appeal.

Other instructions start by applying the lightest color first – I like to start with the darkest color. I think applying it this way is best for an everyday look.

This style is great because you can use a variety of colors to achieve the look.

Here are the steps to a perfect Smokey eye:

 Apply Primer to avoid creasing

Apply Darkest color on the lid

Apply medium color on lid

Apply the lightest color on bottom part of lid, closest to eyelashes
Apply lightest color to your brow bone. By accentuating the highest point on your face you are bringing out your facial features and really complimenting your eyes.

Blend in colors well

Apply eye liner – thick lines work well for this look

Curl Lashes

  Apply Mascara

Take a white eye pencil and line your waterline up to the tear-duct, this will make your eyes appear wider, brighter and fresher and make you look more awake and healthy, also whiter eyes look more beautiful as well as bring out the color of your iris.
