Strawberry nails

I have always thought this was a cute design. I also thought it must be difficult to do.
Rest assured,  it was very easy.

Besides the drying times, it only takes minutes.

The only tool used is scotch tape.

Here is what you need:

-Base Coat
- Red Nail Polish
- White Nail Polish
- Light Green Polish
- Yellow Polish (Optional)
- Scotch Tape
- Top Coat

Step 1:
Cut scotch tape into pieces about the width of nail. I like to put the tape on the back of my hand a few times to remove some of the stickiness - that way it wont remove any polish when placed on nail.
Cut little triangles out of one side to make the leaves pattern. The triangles can be all sizes.
Set aside.

Step 2:
Apply Base coat and a red polish to the nails. Let Dry.
The reason I cut the tape first is to prevent smudging the polish.

Step 3:
Apply tape to nails - I like to put tape close to the cuticle but I have seen other designs done with the leaves at the tip of nails.

Step 4:
Apply white polish. I needed to apply 3 coats because the red color would show through the white polish.

Step 5:
Let white polish dry for a minute or so. Apply light green polish - again I had to apply a couple of coats to make the color opaque.

Step 6:
Let nails dry for a minute or so. Slowly and carefully peel off tape. This part is optional, dab yellow polish on nails to make little specks. Apply a generous amount of top coat and you are done!

Cute Strawberry nails to finish off the summer season!!
