4 steps to Inner Beauty

We all know that beauty matters, but it’s not just your outer beauty - what about inner beauty?

Outer beauty does matter, though. It really is as brutally simple as that.

That first glance is what people judge first.

But it doesn’t matter how long it takes to do hair and make-up or how much you use to cover up the imperfections or flaws, you may still feel bad on the inside.

So how do you work on your inner beauty?

It won’t happen overnight but here are 4 steps to finding your inner beauty.

Meditation: clearing your mind can help to de-clutter any negative self-thoughts, or the insecurities we manifest. We are often so busy we feel there is no time to stop and take a breath! But meditation actually gives you more time by making your mind calmer and more focused.  Taking ten or fifteen minutes with no distractions and deep breaths can help you to overcome your stress and find some inner peace and balance.

Gratitude: make a list of 3 to 5 things you’re grateful for, focus on how they make you feel about yourself. Keep a weekly journal, if you are feeling bad read old entries and remind yourself of the things that make you grateful.

Strength: make a list of three of your strengths and what you’ve done to develop those strengths, or how you can use those strengths to improve how you feel about yourself.

Give back: volunteer, become a mentor or help others see the beauty inside themselves.

Focusing on one of the tasks for at least 5-minutes each day will help your inner beauty shine through!
