Recently I have noticed that I really like adding oils
into my skincare. I have dry skin in the cooler months and I find that oils
really help lock in all the moisture.
I haven’t tried Jojoba Oil before, but I have seen it
listed on most of my all-natural skincare products, so when I was given the
opportunity to try it through Eden's Semilla, I
definitely took advantage of the offer.
Eden's
Semilla is
a company in the United States. It started with Rosehip Oil and has expanded to
include a range of natural oils, facial serums and essential oils.
All Eden's
Semilla products
are 100% natural and organic, with no other filler oils or added fragrances.
What I like about this Jojoba Oil is that it is versatile
– has so many uses!
It is fragrance-free and very light weight, so you can
use this on your skin and your hair.
Uses
for Jojoba Oil
Skin
Jojoba Oil doesn’t leave skin feeling greasy but it does
have a waxy substance making it excellent for skincare.
Jojoba oil can seal in the moisture and create an
effective barrier to protect the skin.
I find my skin, especially my ankles for some reason get
dry and itchy during the cool months, as soon as I started applying Jojoba oil
it hasn’t been dry or itchy.
Acne
Jojoba oil has Vitamins A and E as well as antibacterial
properties that help control bacterial growth. It acts as an anti-inflammatory
agent, soothing the irritated skin.
When used regularly, Jojoba oil can help control acne.
I would use a small amount as a facial serum at night and
I did notice less breakouts and less oily skin. In the morning, my skin felt
soft and smooth.
Hair
Apply some oil to the scalp and let sit for 15 – 20 minutes before washing hair for a great dandruff / dry scalp treatment.
I would apply some Jojoba oil when the hair was damp
after washing. The oil can form a thin waxy coating, protecting it from dust
and dryness.
My hair did not feel weighed down or lifeless and it was
soft and smooth.
I noticed right away that my hair was frizz free and had
an amazing shine.
Nails
Jojoba oil contains vitamin E, and also has
anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.
Once a week, give yourself a cuticle treatment by soaking
the nails in warm water for 5-10 minutes before rubbing one or two drops onto
the cuticle area.
Here are some other great uses for Jojoba Oil:
- Chapped lips
- For cracked feet and dry hands
- Reduces the effects of sunburn
- Control dandruff
-
Hair Conditioning Treatment
-
Shaving lotion
-
Make up Remover
My only complaint about this product would be the
dropper, it didn’t seem to hold more than 3 or 4 drops. When you take the
dropper out of the bottle, the oil would sometimes just fall out on its own. If
you’re not prepared it can be a little messy.
Overall, I am very happy with this oil and I will
continue to use it in my
skincare and hair-care routine.

My opinion is not
influenced in anyway and I will still continue to only post and link to
products that fit my personal style*
