My go to style lately has been loosely curled hair. It takes
less time in the morning and it’s easier to maintain on second day hair.
While I do love using
my curling wand, it takes more time.
So my go to tool for loosely curled hair
has been the Gurin
Ceramic Tourmaline Hair Straightener.
I’ve been using my Gurin straightener for over a year now
and I love it!
It doesn’t feel heavy and it even comes with a carrying case
which makes it great for traveling. It also has rounded edges making it easy to
style my bangs.

Ceramic Tourmaline Hair Straightener, see my video HERE!
In this Video Tutorial I show how I style my hair using a Flat Iron.
I usually only add curls to the top layer of my hair.
Depending on how my hair looks in the morning I might section
my hair into two sections.
I personally like to add products after my hair is curled
and I use a low heat setting on my tools.
Basically I take small sections of hair and clamp with the
flat iron twisting it 180 degrees. Pull slowly sideways down the hair (for a
curlier look, or faster for looser curls).
You always want to hold the flat iron sideways (vertically)
and not downwards (horizontally).
If you needed several sections, let down the rest and repeat
the process.
There is no particular trick to this, I just grab whatever
section needs a curl and I don’t curl every single section – just here and
there.
I like to finish off by applying some Marc
Anthony Sexy Beach Waves Mousse, add a little texture with some Dry
Shampoo and then just a tiny bit of Jojoba
Oil for some great shine.
I’ve been very happy with the results and it urged me to
create this everyday hairstyle blog post!
