Summer is approaching!
If you are like me, it is met with
mixed emotions - you’re excited for the warmer weather, open toe shoes and
weekends at the beach or pool but dread revealing the stubborn cellulite, pale
skin, stretch marks, breakouts on the chest shoulders or back and leg and
underarm hair.
Here are some insights and tips on the top beach body
concerns.
My skin is so pale!
It’s been way too long since you have seen a glimmer of
sunshine and realize how your skin matches the white of your office walls.
You want to avoid tanning beds and load up on sunscreen.
Choose a bronzing cream or spray tan instead of tanning
beds.
If you are like me and need a bit of color every so often
this DIY
Sunless Tanner would work for you.
It uses household ingredients and is easy to use.
I wouldn't want to apply every day but for special occasions
or when I want that extra bit of confidence I would use this tanner.
Stretch Marks
Every woman develops marks in some body parts, and this is
considered as perfectly normal and natural due to weight loss after giving
birth or after living for years with extra pounds.
While it is a natural occurrence, no woman would want to
deal with these unattractive lines.
Staying well-hydrated is an excellent way to reduce the
possibility of getting unsightly marks on your skin. Drinking plenty of water
for proper hydration is another possible means of making these lines on your
stomach or legs appear not as pronounced as when you have dry skin.
Skin creams can also improve the quality of your skin by
making it appear more toned, less itchy and more flexible.
Sugar is known
for its exfoliating effects. Its coarse texture can help get rid of dead skin
and minimize the unsightly appearance of these lines on your thighs, stomach,
and arms.
- Take a tablespoon of sugar and place it in a
bowl
- add in a few drops of lemon juice with some Olive
Oil and stir thoroughly
- Rub it on the affected area for a few
minutes
- rinse the mixture off with warm water and
pat dry
Make it a habit to scrub your skin with this mixture for a
month or until you discover positive results on your skin.
Aloe Vera is also
effective when it comes to minimizing the appearance of stretch marks.
- Rub small
Aloe Vera leafs on your skin for a few minutes
- rinse the area off with lukewarm water
With its cooling and healing components, you can achieve
positive results from using this herbal remedy regularly.
Cellulite
There is no easy way to remove cellulite…
But using a coffee scrub can help with the appearance of
cellulite.
Coffee has a tightening and stimulating effect on skin and
it is often used in anti-aging products.
The massage and exfoliation benefits skin by stimulating
blood/lymph flow and the caffeine in the coffee has a tightening effect.

Coffee Scrub recipe, it makes skin super soft, helps with cellulite and
leaves skin with a sun-kissed glow (if you are light skinned).
I have acne on my shoulders and chest
One of the most common skin problems that people encounter
right now is acne.
It does not matter whether people are in their teenage years
or in their adult years, people can be affected with this condition.
Here are the best natural remedies to get rid of body acne:
Baking Soda
If you would like to exfoliate your skin, you can use baking
soda on the skin.
Baking Soda can help make sure that the pores will be thoroughly
cleaned.
It also has some anti-inflammatory properties that can help
reduce the amount of acne.
- Mix in baking soda
with a little bit of water
- Mix them together and
place it on the affected area
- Leave the baking
soda with water for about 10 minutes
- Rinse it off with
warm water
- Use twice a week
Apple Cider Vinegar
When it comes to home remedies, apple cider vinegar is
always one of those that are included.
Apple cider vinegar can balance the pH level of the skin, making
it harder for the bacteria to penetrate the skin.
- Place a teaspoon of
apple cider vinegar on a cotton ball
- Rub the cotton ball
with apple cider vinegar on the affected skin
- Leave it for about
30 minutes or leave it overnight
- Clean it with lukewarm
water
Cinnamon and Honey
Cinnamon can be very effective because it has anti-microbial
properties that can be effective in getting rid of the bacteria that causes
acne.
Honey can also act as an antibiotic so when the two are
mixed together, it is an awesome combo.
- Wash your chest area
and make sure that it is clean and dry
- Mix honey and
cinnamon together until it is a paste
- Place it on the affected
area for about 15 minutes
- Rinse off completely
and let it dry
Unwanted body hair
If you don’t want to shave your legs, underarms and bikini
area every couple of days, here are some other options for unwanted hair.
Waxing is a popular option, which can last up to 3-6 weeks
depending on how your hair grows.
Epilating (my favorite) is the quickest and long-lasting hair
removal technique and you can do this at home.
