My hair can take a bit of a battering sometimes, with all
the dyeing, highlighting and blow drying that I put it through, this puts a lot
of pressure on my hair, and can be damaging if I don’t take the best care of it
that I can.
This means I try out a lot of different hair care products,
and I always take note of what works best for me, the best value for money and
when to alternate between products.
I thought I would do a post to show what I’m using on my
hair lately!
To keep my blonde hair from becoming brassy and straw-like,
I have been using John Frieda Sheer Blonde Go Blonder
Lightening Shampoo, with ingredients like citrus and chamomile it
renews blonde hair without drying the hair out.
To condition my hair I have fallen in love with Marc
Anthony Thick and Full Coconut Milk Volume Conditioner – it just
might be the best conditioner I’ve used.
See my blog post review HERE!
This conditioner has a thick consistency but feels lightweight
and helps detangle and repair dry, damaged hair. Not to mention it leaves hair
with incredible shine!
I haven’t tried both the shampoo and conditioner before and they
really surprised me!
I thought they would be standard shampoo and conditioner,
and I couldn’t have been more wrong.
They both left my hair feeling super soft instantly upon
use, and when drying my hair I noticed a considerable amount of ‘bounce’ to it
that I don’t usually have.
My hair naturally is usually frizzy yet lifeless, with no
volume. The ends are dry, and the roots are flat.
My hair feels much healthier after using these products, and
even makes me feel like I don’t need to straighten my hair as often to control
the frizz!
Next I like to use some Jojoba
Oil to my damp hair. I add a few drops in the palm of my hand, rub
hands together and apply to the hair.
Jojoba Oil has moisturizing qualities that leaves hair
feeling rejuvenated and full of life. Provides excellent scalp protection and guards
against split ends.

Once I’ve styled my hair, I use either Mixed
Chicks Styling Gel or Marc
Anthony Coconut Beach Waves Texture Cream to keep the style lasting
all day.
Both products are lightweight, hold curls or waves without
being stiff or sticky and add texture and volume to hair.
To finish off my style I like to add a little hairspray.
I have been a fan of Big Sexy Hair for years - I love the Big
Sexy Hair Spray & Stay Intense Hold Hairspray. It creates a
stronger, long lasting hold without being stiff. It also has humidity
protection and shine! Perfect for keeping updos and elaborate styles in place.
Once a week I give myself a hair mask. I have loved Eva
NYC Therapy Session Hair Mask for a few years now, it deeply
conditions, repairs and strengthens for all hair types and is rich in vitamins
A and E and it can be used either as a weekly treatment or an everyday
conditioner.
Overall I’m super happy with this routine, I found this combination
of products has really helped my hair.
