Vanity Planet Boost Volumizing Hot Brush Review and Tutorial

If you’ve been reading my blog, you’ll know I love multi-tasking hair tools.

I have curly / wavy hair that tends to get frizzy and I also have cowlicks near my hairline so I love being able to straighten, and curl my hair at the same time.

Vanity Planet Boost Volumizing Hot Brush is a multipurpose styling tool that curls, straightens, waves and even teases hair.

It uses Ionic technology that provides maximum shine while the ceramic barrel and anti-static/anti-frizz bristles leave hair smooth and polished.

It has a Half-round brush shape and pivoting plastic bristles that are firm but slightly flexible, helping to create voluminous styles starting at the roots.
I highly recommend brushing your hair thoroughly before use, as knotted hair can be tangled in the bristles – I experienced some tangles early on.

It has two temperature settings, the first is between 320°F- 325°F and the second is between 350°F - 375°F, it does take 7-10 minutes to fully heat up to the highest setting, which is long compared to my other tools that heat up in seconds and the barrel can get hot - really hot, so I usually use it on the low setting and try not to touch the barrel when I’m styling, even the knob on the top of the barrel can get super hot.

It was originally designed for thin, flat hair types but as I can attest, it can be used it on coarse hair if completely brushed out.

The volume this brush gives me is the perfect amount without overdoing it and it helps tame the flyaways .

I like that the curl is a more natural curl style and when I straightened my hair it was like a blow out with a round brush.

It is Lightweight and compact making it super convenient for travel or touch-ups.
